Born in 1920, M. Alice Hewitt of Pedricktown and formerly of Quinton was born in West Virginia and was a life long resident of Salem County dieing at the age of 80. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Alloway for eight years. She was a homemaker who enjoyed doing artwork and crafts. Surviving are three sons, Robert Of Rio Grande, NJ; Allen J. of Alloway, NJ; Ralph E. of Pennsville, NJ; and a daughter Patricia Chapman of Pedricktown,NJ; also 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one great great gradnchild.
