Clifford E. (Red) Kendrick, whose home address was Niceville, Fla. but who was a former resident of Opp was found dead in bed in a Tuscaloosa hospital Saturday morning, February 4th. He would have been 65 years old in a few days. The body was brought to Opp, arriving here early Sunday morning and funeral services were held from Pine Level Church Sunday afternoon at 4:00 oclock. Minister Ray Humphries of Opp Church of Christ officiated and burial was in Pine Level Cemetery. Surviving Mr. Kendrick are one son, Bradley Kendrick, Niceville, Fla.; two daughters, Miss Voncile Kendrick and Mrs. John Annie Burney, Pensacola, Fla.; brother, Henry Kendrick, Kinston, sisters, Mrs. Mertie Adams, Crestview, Fla.; Mrs. Minnie Davis, Mrs. Bonnie Erskin, Anahein, Calif. Mrs. Lena Farris, Elba Rt., Mrs. Alice Stroud, DeFuniak Springs, Fla. Also 5 grandchildren.
