Mr. Shepard, who died Tuesday at a Fort Smith hospital, was a native of Mountainburg, Arkansas area, a member of the Baptist Church and was a retired oil field worker.
He is survived by two daughters, Pauline and Cleo; and a son R. E. all of Arkansas City, Kansas; four sisters, Evelyn of Van Buren, Hallie of O'Fallon, Missouri, Erma, of Valdalie, Illinois and Naomi of Des Plains, Illinois; a brother. H. R. of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
