Velma Olene Daniel, 76, died Monday, February 9, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County in New Albany, Miss.

She was Born April 7, 1932, in Tippah County to Carl and Nancy Cannon.

She was a Member of the United Community Pentecostal Church.

She was a Homemaker and also worked in several Factories.
She Enjoyed Sewing, Fishing and Working in the Garden.

She was a Loving Mother, Stepmother, Mother In Law, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister.

Services will be at 2 P.M. today at United Community Pentecostal Church with Rev. Thomas R. Flake and Bro. Roger Wilbanks Officiating.
Burial will be in the Providence Cemetery in Tippah County. United Funeral Service is in Charge of the Arrangements.

Survivors include four Sons, Raymond Jerel Barnes, and Wife, Tammy, of Ripley; Raymond Lee Barnes, and Wife, Sharon, of Southaven; Billy Ray Barnes, and Wife, Linda, of Iuka; and Carl Cleve Barnes, and Wife, Nell, of Etta; one Daughter, Barbara Ann Criss, and Husband, Johnnie, of Wauchula, Fla.; two Stepsons, Bobby Daniel Jr. and Wife, Rhonda, of New Albany and Freddie Daniel, and Vickie Akins, of Ardmore, Okla.; one Step Daughter, Gracie Overton of Tishomingo, Okla.; one Brother, Floyd Cannon, and Wife, Bessie, of Walnut; one Sister, Wilma Stanley, and Husband, Floyd, of Houston, Texas; 19 Grandchildren, and 13 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; her Husband, Bobby Daniel; and two Sisters, Lettie Mohundra and Mary Bell Nelson.

Pallbearers will be Steven Barnes, Kevin Barnes, Timmy Barnes, Bobby Daniel Jr., Tommy Nelson and Aaron Kenney.

Chris Kenney will be an Honorary Pallbearer.
