DAINGERFIELD - Services for John Luther Hood, 60, of Naples, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at Omaha First Baptist Church, with the Rev. C. Hood officiating. Burial will be in Reynolds Cemetery. Arrangements are by Harmon Funeral Home. Mr. Hood died February 5, 2009, at a local medical center.
Born June 21, 1948, in Omaha, he was a truck driver and member of Omaha First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lue Hood; mother, Ruth Hood; sons, Kevin Cobbins, and Luther, Derrick and John Willie Hood; daughters, Joann and Alicia Hood; brothers, Adam, the Rev. Charlie, the Rev. Mark, Paul, Thomas, the Rev. David and the Rev. James Hood; and sisters, Zella Harris, Martha Stanard, Sarah Hall, Mae Cook and Patsy Mitchell.
