Born in Southgate, Calif., he lived in Colorado before moving to Oswego. He was a second-year student at the University of Denver at Greeley. He had worked as a first mate and glazier.
Survivors: His mother, Betty Lints of Oswego; four sisters, Betty Jane Pearson of Cape Vincent, Catherine E. Bond of New Haven, Susan L. Cowen of Mexico and Debbie A. Vickery of Scriba; two brothers, James Whitton of Oswego and Jeffrey Lints of Boulder, Colo.
Services: 8 p.m. Tuesday at Harter Funeral Home. Burial, Hillside Cemetery, Central Square. Calling hours, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 9 Washington Ave., Mexico.
