Services celebrating the life of Jane Willis Terry, 83, will be held at 3:30p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2009 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Father Peter Mangum and Rabbi Jana L. De Benedetti. Interment will follow Forest Park Cemetery, St.Vincent Avenue. Visitation with the family will be at 2:30 p.m. until service time Saturday afternoon at the funeral home. Jane was born January 16, 1926, in Shreveport, LA and passed away Thursday, February 5, 2009, at the Village at The Glen after a brief illness. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans. Jane was a 1942 graduate of C.E. Byrd High School. She was a homemaker for her loving husband, children and grandchildren. Jane was an expert marksman, and certified rifle instructor, who conducted training for the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Department's Junior Rifle Program for a number of years. Her parents, Thomas Morris and Pinkie Langlow Willis, and son, David Bryan Terry, preceded Jane in death. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, retired Caddo Parish Sheriff Harold M. Terry of Shreveport,LA; children, Sharon Jenkinson-Reed and husband Tom, of Shreveport, LA; Dr. Stephen Jenkinson and wife, Suzie of San Antonio,TX; and Shannon Terry Wiley and husband Kenneth of The Woodlands, TX; and grandchildren, June Boddie Bennett, Dr. Stephanie Suzanne Jenkinson, Morgan Jane Wiley, Harold Cole Wiley, and Darrin Terry. Honoring Jane, as pallbearers will be Gil McElroy, David Cole, Joseph Woodley, Jim Robinson, Bill Hart, and Joseph Malec. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Stiles Apartments at The Glen. Your love and professional care shown to Jane will never be forgotten. The family suggests memorials may be made to the LSU Foundation 3838 West Lakeshore Dr. Baton Rouge, LA. 70808.
