Rome News-Tribune, 05-11-1990 Mrs. Padgett - Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Dobbs Padgett will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home. The Rev. Willard Willis will offficate. Interment will be at Pleasant Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Padgett, 68, of 705 McGee Bend Road, Cave Spring, died Wednesday at a Rome hospital after a long illness. She was born 02-19-1922, in Polk County, daughter of the late Curtis Dobbs & Sara Stanford Dobbs. She had been a longtime resident of Floyd County where she was a member of The Light House Church of Rome. Survivors include; three sons, Richard Douglas Padgett, Rome, Joel Pat Padgett, Cave Spring, and Kenneth Ray Padgett; two daughters, Judy P. Kilgore, Armuchee, and Ann Guyton, South Carolina; a sister, Eula Dobbs, Rome; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandchild.
