William Payne Morris of Warsaw, Ill., died Saturday morning August 11, 1956, at 5 in the St. Joseph hospital, Keokuk, Ia. after an extended illness.

Born Jan. 1, 1872, in Keithsburg, he was the son of Charles and Frances Morris. He had lived in the Warsaw community the past 31 years and was a farmer and a member of Trinity Methodist Church.

He married Nancy Webster, Nov. 28, 1897, in Kahoka, Mo. She died in 1950.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. Ruby Taylor of Montrose, Mrs. Virginia Marvin and Mrs. Frances Rowe, both of Keokuk; 2 sons, Wiley of Warsaw and Bradley of Hamilton; and a brother, Thomas of Kahoka.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1 at Bradfield Memorial Chapel with the Rev. V.W. Elston officiating.

Burial was in Cedar Gove Cemetery near Kahoka ---- Warsaw Bulletin
