Canton - Services for Milo Mae Strickland, 95, Canton, are scheduled for10 a.m. Saturday at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel, Canton, with the Rev. Nathan Hodge officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery,Martins Mill. Mrs Strickland died April 28 in Canton.
She was born Feb. 4, 1909, in Ben Wheeler to the late Solon and Katie Howell Beggs. She grew up in Ben Wheeler and lived in Canton for almost 50 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Daughtersof the
Confederacy, AARP, Chapter 1313, served as 4-H Adult Leader for many years and volunteered at nursing homes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester B. Strickland; sisters, Grace Stringer and Malarine Adrian; and brothers, Woodrow Beggs and Billy Joe Beggs.
Survivors include sons, Jimmy Strickland, Canton, and Jack Green,Tyler; brother, James Beggs, Canton; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
