James Anthony Aiello, 75, of Henderson, passed away Feb. 12, 2009. James was born March 13, 1933, in Springfield, Ill., and was a resident of Nevada for the past 49 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. James was a wonderful husband and father, and his children called him "Big Daddy." He served with the Illinois State Police before moving to Las Vegas. He moved to Las Vegas in 1960 and became a waiter and Blackjack dealer. Later, he worked as a surveillance agent in Las Vegas, Laughlin and Tunica, Miss. James was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Wanda Joan. He is survived by his wife, Joan; five sons, James, Mark (Lou), Greg, David (Juanita) and Jeff (Judy); 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, with the funeral service immediately following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
