Mr. McVey died July 20, 1984, at the Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center.
A native of Ohio, Mr. McVey was a former resident of Mt. Pleasant, where he had been machine-shop manager of Spang Tool Co.
Mr. McVey is survived by his wife, Florence, and a son, Burdette, both of Tallahassee; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Earl.
