Paul Thomas Anderson, 80, of Monterey, passed away May 8, 2002. Funeral services were conducted May 11 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Goney Cemetery in Grimsley, TN. The Rev. Mike Reagan officiated, with special music by The Howard Family, and Tony and Helen Findley.
Mr. Anderson was born Aug. 25, 1921, in Knoxville, TN, the son of Samuel T. and Dortha Ann Tindell Anderson.
He was a salesman for Sears, and a member of Mayland Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Reagan Anderson of Monterey; daughter, Cathy Crane of Tucson, AZ; son, Jack Anderson of Peoria, IL; and grandchildren, Laura Anderson and Robbie Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bill Anderson; brothers, John Anderson, William Anderson and Jack Anderson; and sisters, Stella Patty and Louise Baron.
Pallbearers were Gary Brown, David Brown, Donald Hood, Joey Sherrill, Wes Hassler, Johnny Davis, Dennis Reagan, Jamey Sherrill and Russell Pryor.
