Sister to: Yvonne, Rose, Mary, Barbara, Carol, Gail, Debra, Frederick, Phyllis, Joanne, and Sally.
Wife of: Clarence Kohler. Married 11 Apr 1953.
Mother to: Steve, Jeffrey, Mark, Karen and Ann.
Maurine was a very special woman!! I knew her my whole life and my life was better for knowing her! She always had something to say....always spoke what was on her mind! You never had to worry about Maurine "sugar coating" anything....she told you what she thought!
She played organ in her church for many many years...and also played her organ and piano at home! She was honestly the only person I ever personally knew who could "play by ear". She could hear a song one time and play it herself...with no sheet music in front of her! It always amazed me!
Maurine fought cancer for a couple years....fighting as hard as she humanly could. In the end, God had other plans and a place waiting for her in Heaven...so she had to go. I didn't get to see her before she died....I tried but when I called her she said she just didn't feel well enough for company. I honored her choice for privacy...and quietly prayed for her from my home!
God made a very special and loving person when he made Maurine and I'm glad to have known her!
Cause of Death: Cancer.
