Jackson Parker Centers was a WWII Navy veteran, and a survivor of the December 7, 1941 attack at Pearl Harbor while serving on the USS Oklahoma. He met and married Roberta Marie Vinson on 30-day leave, January 22, 1943, in Paducah, KY. They had three children, Terry Marie Centers Strick (1947), Rex Parker Centers (1951-1955), and Tweed Howard Centers (1954). They made their home in San Diego, CA. Jack retired from the Navy after 20 years of active service and 10 years in the Naval Reserve. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and husband and is very much missed.
