Graveside services with full military honors will be tomorrow, 11 a.m. in Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery for Earl H. Coleman, 36, of 285 Moss St., Chula Vista, a major in the U.S. Air Force.
An F 105 pilot, Maj. Coleman was killed in a plane crash in Germany July 14. Flight honors will be given by a formation of F 105’s from Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas during the time of service.
Maj. Coleman, a native of Minnesota, held a masters degree from the University of Ohio and had been in the Air Force since 1951.
He was escorted home by Maj. Edward J. Bishop. Visitation hours were yesterday and will be today from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. in Berge-Roberts Mortuary.
Maj. Coleman was the holder of the National Defense Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Air Force Longevity Medal with two oak leaf clusters and the Air Force Reserve Medal.
Surviving are his wife, Lois M., a native of Chula Vista; two children, Robin and Kimberly; and a brother, Thomas and a sister, Florence Walters, both of Minnesota. His mother died Thursday in Minnesota.
