Ada violet Kilby Ramsey, 79, of 4115 Sunset Drive, Martinsville, died Monday, April 8, 2002, at Stanleytown Health Care.
She was born Aug. 6, 1922, in North Wilkesboro, N.C., to the late John P. Kilby and the late Carrie Haynes Kilby. Preceding her in death were a sister, Mae Teague; and four brothers, Lonnie Kilby, Herbert Kilby, Morris Kilby and Paul Kilby.
She retired from Dupont of Martinsville and the Henry County Public Schools. She was a member of Chatham Heights Christian Church.
Surviving are her husband, Justus N. Ramsey of the home; one son, Donald Lee Ramsey of Holden Beach, N.C.; one brother, Ralph Kilby of Collinsville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Norris Funeral Chapel, with Minister Allen vaughn and Minister J.D. Hunt III officiating.
Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at Norris Funeral Services from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and other times at the home.
