Mrs. R.P. Gambill, 84, mother of Mr. W.T. Gambill of Stamford died in Lubbock Monday afternoon. Funeral services were held in Abilene Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist church with Dr. Millard Jenkins, pastor, officiating and was assisted by Rev. P.D. O’Brien, pastor of First Baptist church, pastor of First Baptist church here. Burial was in Abilene city cemetery.
Mrs. Gambill was an active member in the Baptist church and made her home in Stamford during 1924-1925. Following the death of her husband she moved to Abilene and then to Lubbock.
