Railroad - Oscar Nelson Reichard, this place, son of Pheobe (Black) and the late Elmer Reichard, died at 8:45 p. m. yesterday at the York Hospital where he had been a patient for the past six weeks. Death was due to a complication of diseases, following a lingering illness. Mr. Reichard, who had been bedfast since last November, was 36 years old.
Mr. Reichard was a former resident of York. He was a machinist at the George. F. Motter and Son Company, York. He is survived by the following: one son, Donald Reichard, York; his, mother, Mrs. Pheobe Reichard; brothers and sisters, Preston Reichard, Baltimore; Palmer Reichard, New Freedom; Mrs. Lillian Beltz, Bethesda, Md., Mrs. Catherine Hill, Baltimore,; Theodore, Cornell, Richard, Glen and Nancy Reichard, all of this place.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m.(D.S.T.) from the Hartenstein Funeral Chapel, New Freedom. Rev. M. E. Smith, pastor of Messiah Lutheran church, here, of which the deceased was a member, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Shrewsbury Lutheran cemetery.
