Services for Garnett Lee Venable, 50, Whigham, are 2:00 PM Friday, February 13, 2009 at Clark Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry Johnson and Rev. Tommy McCormick will officiate and interment will follow at the Tama Tribal Town Cemetery in Whigham. Mr. Venable died February 9, 2009 at his residence.

Born March 19, 1958 in Odessa, Texas, he was a son the late Raymond D. and Reather Mae Moncus Venable. He was employed in grounds maintenance with Alpha Protection.

Survivors include a daughter, Christy Barnes; brothers and sisters-in-law, Douglas Venable, Charles and Christine Venable, Richard and Barbara Venable; half-brother, Bennie Moncus; nieces and nephews, Ashley Sorrow, Reather Mae Venable, Aaron Douglas Venable, Tommy McCormick, Daniel Paul, Nealie McCormick and Robert Kersey, John McCormick, Nikki Carver and Amy Carver; special friend, David Coley, Jr.; and a host of special friends.
