She married Joseph Seborn Pritchett in Clarke County, Alabama, November 7, 1878. The couple quickly migrated westward. Like Jennie's father, Seborn had received a 40 acre land grant for homesteading in Arkansas the year before they married. The land grant document was signed by U.S. President Grover Cleveland. It was issued through the Dardanelle Land Office.
The Pritchetts were enumerated without children in Franklin County, Arkansas at the 1880 census. Seborn farmed while Jennie kept the home. Other Pritchetts were recorded in the same census as living adjacent or nearby.
