Bobby Frank Bounds, 71, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at his residence in Lorena. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with Father Rakshaganathan Selvaraj and Father Irudayaraj Nelpatti-Thomas as celebrants. Burial will be 1 p.m. Thursday, at Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Bobby was born in Waco, Texas, to William and Elizabeth Sykora Bounds. He married Thelma Blume on May 18, 1963 in Waco. He worked in maintenance at Owens-Broadway Glass for 40 years before retiring in 2000. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and was active in the Knights of Columbus Council 13005. He was a ministry leader at the church for Waco Habitat for Humanity, a member of Empty Nesters and was always available for church maintenance. He enjoyed the church activities and the church family at St. Jerome's. He was a Fourth Degree member of the Msgr. J. J. Kearns Knights of Columbus Assembly 1109. He also enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew, Robert Gene Cinek.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Thelma; son, Brian Bounds, of Austin; daughter, Theresa Reed and husband, Rhett, of Austin; granddaughters, Bailey and Kayla Bounds and Alex Reed, all of Austin; grandsons, Wade Bounds, of Austin, and Jones Reed, of Austin; sisters, Doris Cinek and husband, Robert, of Laveria, and Jeanette Sulak, of Austin; brother, Larry Bounds and wife, Dawn, of Mesquite; nephews, Edward Cinek, of Missouri City, Richard Cinek, of San Antonio, and Daniel Sulak, of Austin; and nieces, Laurie Herr, of Austin, and Zoe Bounds, of Mesquite.

Pallbearers will be Keith Pleasants, Daniel Bounds, Kenneth Bolfing, Edward Cinek, Richard Cinek, and Daniel Sulak. The Knights of Columbus will provide an honor guard.
