Agnes Marie Gambino, 71, of West Chester, died Monday, Feb, 16, 2009, at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester.

She was the wife of the late Anthony F. Gambino III.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Marguerite Morris Dougherty.

Agnes was a school teacher at Our Lady of Charity in Brookhaven for 25 years. She previously taught at other Philadelphia Archdiocesan grade schools.
She graduated from Neumann College and was a member of Ss. Simon & Jude Church in West Chester.

She was a loving wife, mother and devoted teacher.

Agnes is survived by her son, Anthony F. Gambino IV; daughter, Kathie Steckel of Coatesville; daughter, Lisa Gambino of Las Vegas, Nev.; son, Michael Gambino of Elverson; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marguerite MacDonald of Media.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, at Ss. Simon & Jude Church, routes 3 and 352, West Chester.

Interment will be in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.

Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Neighborhood Hospice, 795 E. Marshall St. #204, West Chester, PA 19380; and/or Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
