Lucille I. Sanders

Lucille I. Sanders, 93, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004, in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin.

She was born April 24, 1911, in Teutopolis, Ill. Her parents were Thomas Otis and Bertha (Miller) James. She married Everett Sanders on June 14, 1941. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Robert Sanders of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Linda Haddock of Franklin; four sisters, Lois Osbourne of Washington, Ind., Annalee Evans of Fort Worth, Texas, Marthagene Devore of Sandwich, Ill., and Marjorie Schroeder of Hennesey, Okla.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Frederick Sanders; a brother; and five sisters.

She graduated from Plainfield High School.

She was employed as an insurance adjuster in Indianapolis and Kansas City, Mo. She retired after several years of service in 1963.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed flower arranging and gardening.

The Rev. Roger R. Hubbard will conduct a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. in Franklin. Friends may call from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
