Mrs. Jane W. Capell, 92, a native of Florida, and a resident of Inverness since 1948, passed away Tuesday night, January 13th, at the Tanglewood Nursing Home in Lake City where she had been a patient for the past few months.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Inverness.
She is survived by two brothers, John C. Waits, Gainesville, And Guy Waits, Sanford, Fla. and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Porter Funeral Home in Inverness 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Tom E. Capell of the First Baptist church, Palmetto, Fla. officiating. Interment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Inverness.
The 1880 Census shows that Jane Waits was born in Florida and was living in Alachua County, Florida with her parents Samuel T. and Emma and sister Tommy Loula.
The 1910 Census shows that Janie was living on S. McFarland Avenue, Florence, Florence County South Carolina with her husband James H. and sister-in-law Annie.
The Florida Death Index shows that Jane Waits Capell died in Columbia County, Florida.
