13 Jan 1977: Alice M. Peiffer, 82, wife of Peter Peiffer, Tamaqua RD 3, died yesterday in the Coaldale Hospital. Born in Lebanon County, she was a daughter of the late George and Amanda Bingaman Gearhart. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, New Rinegold and its Women's Guild. She was also a member of the O. of I. A. Lodge, Clamtown. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons. Charles C. Peiffer, State College, Herman G. Strack, Tamaqua, and Harry W. Strack, New Ringgold; two daughters, Arlene A., wife of Elmer F. Waltermyer, Lebanon, and Alberta S., wife of Earl W. Kimmel, Norristown. Also, these stepchildren, Carl Peiffer, Lehighton; Mildred, wife of James Dixon, Etters, and Naomi, wife of Robert Oilman, Hellertown; 20 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Harry W. Strack, preceded her in death 50 years ago. A son, Warren H. Strack, was killed in World
