. MayBelle Ann Pack Bailey, 68, of Maple Ridge Road, Walterboro, widow of retired Navy Chief Emuel Bailey, Jr., died Friday morning, April 16, 2004 at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro. Funeral services will be held at four o'clock, Sunday afternoon, April 18, 2004 in The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Canadys. Mrs. Bailey was born June 15, 1935 in Sumter and was a daughter of the late Marley and Alma Hodge Pack. She was a homemaker and member of Harvest Community Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, David E. Bailey and Billie Jean of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Jon Eric Bailey and Belinda of Walterboro and Samuel Bailey and Elsie of Miami, Florida; two daughters, Beverly Ann Bailey Sorenson of Walterboro and Sue Lyne Bailey Cothran and her husband Marion of Walterboro; a sister, Estelle Schultz and her husband Ray of Slidell, Louisiana; fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted or the family has suggested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to Harvest Community Baptist Church, 4351 Maple Ridge Road, Walterboro, SC 29488.
