PIEDMONT, SC - Leon Goslin Bayne, 66, of Route 3, Piedmont, died Tuesday at 11:30 p.m. at his home.
He was a native of Greenville County, a son of the late James and Josephine Smith Bayne. He lived most of his life in Greenville and moved to Piedmont in 1963. He was a shoe repairman before his retirement. He was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church in Anderson County and a steward.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruth Moore Bayne; a daughter, Mrs. James (Billie) Reese of Piedmont; a son, James Franklin Bayne of Jacksonville, Florida; three half-sisters, Mrs. Flossie Hester of Travelers Rest, Mrs. Ruth Butler of Greenville and Mrs. Frances Justin of North Carolina; a half-brother, Fred Gilbert of Spartanburg; and five grandchildren.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Greenville, SC.
