His parents were Isaac Bayley II and Electa B. Morton.
He served in the Civil War as a private in Co. B, 1st Missouri Engineers, from 1861 to 1864.
After the war, he served as a policeman and detective, per the 1880 Census.
He married twice: first, on 16 Jul 1855 in Ohio, to
Wife #1: Naomi Kingsnorth
They had one daughter together, Ella Francis Bayley.

And the second time, on 01 Jan 1872, in Cook Cty., Illinois, to
Wife #2: Elizabeth B.(nee Tomlinson) Hamilton

He was my 1st cousin 4 x removed, a descendant of one of my great grandmothers.
