Wife of Harley Ringer.
Father: James Cain-b-Illinois.
Mother: Martha
Missouri D/C #14527
Mrs. Harley Ringer passed away May 26, 1927.
Never was a community more deeply shocked than was the vicinity of Indian Grove on last Thursday, May 26, (1927) when the word went out that Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Ringer, beloved wife of Harley Ringer, had passed away at her home, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Ringer had been in her usual health up to the day before her death, only complaining of being a little tired when she retired Wednesday night. Thursday morning she arose and dressed, but in a short time was compelled to return to her room, and in a few short hours her spirit had taken flight.
Elizabeth Ann Cain, youngest daughter of James and Martha Cain, was born Dec. 21, 1905, and at her death was aged 22 years, 5 months and 5 days. She was married Dec. 24, 1925, to Harley E. K. Ringer, who survives her. Besides her broken-hearted husband, she leaves her aged father, three sisters, two brothers, also four brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law and her mother-in-law, all of whom loved her as their very own.
It seems sad indeed that so young and so promising a life must be taken,--a life so full of hope and happiness, always planning for the comfort and beauty of her home, and working for the happiness of those about her.
The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Marion DeWeese at Powell Church, north-east of Indian Grove, where a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives gathered to pay their tribute of respect to the beautiful young life that had gone out. She was laid to rest in Powell Cemetery.
