He was born in Denmark Oct. 11, 1865, a son of Eric and Lena Larson Nielson. He married Fredricka Nielson in Denmark and the couple came to the United States in 1886.
A blacksmith, butcher and farmer at various periods of his life, he was a member of the L.D.S. Church.
He is survived by the following sons and daughters; Eric Nielson, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Pearl Fautin, Pleasant Grove; Ekom Nielson, Mrs. Nora Nielson and Mrs. Ella Johnson, all of Elsinore; 31 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Elsinore ward chapel by J.P. Christensen. Burial was in the Elsinore Cemetery.
Speakers were H.J. Kotter and Lorin Christensen. Musical numbers were two numbers by the double trio; vocal solo, Stiner Busk accompanied by Golda Busk; duet, Mrs. Elroy Mickelson and Mrs. John Bodtcher. Prayers were Alvin Johnson, Armor Hill and Soren Hermansen.
