Clara B. Collins

Clara Bell Collins, 85, died Monday, January 14, 1991. (this was a misprint it should be January 13, 1991) Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at United Pentecostal Tabernacle, where she was a longtime member and former member of the ladies' auxiliary. Rice Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Collins was born July 6, 1905, in Mayes County to James and Effie Bickford Storm. She was reared and educated in Chelsea and married Walter Scott Collins in Claremore on March 6, 1926. She and her family have lived here since that time.
After her husband died in June 1942 and her children were grown, she began working outside the home as a care giver for the elderly. She was well-know for her homemade bread.
Survivors include her son Bobby Collins of Clyde, Texas; daughters, Ruth and Wilma Kizer, Anna Collins, Christina Burger and Helen Allison of Claremore; sisters, Della Collier and Minnie Lawson of Claremore; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband and her infant daughter, Lelia Faye.
