Carl Robison Jr. was born at Glenpool,OK. on Sept. 12, 1928, a son of Carl & Bessie (Lingelbach) Robison Sr. The Lord came for him on Feb. 20, 2009 at the Okmulgee Hospital and took him home. He was 80 years, 5 months, and 8 days old. Carl graduated from Beggs High School in 1947. He then continued his education at the Oklahoma City Business College and got his certificate in 1949. His enlistment in the U.S. Army took him around the world. He served in the Korean War and was honorably discharged as a Sgt., in the RA-Artillery Division. Carl then went into the oilfield, which took him to Alaska to work on the Trans-Atlantic pipeline at Purdue Bay and North Slope, and later working for major oil companies such as DX, Chevron, and Mobile as a foreman up to a consultant. He tried to retire several times but couldn't be still, so he started repairing lawn & gardening equipment in which he found his passion. In between working as a small engine repairman, he was a janitor and bus driver for Nuyaka Schools in which he met his love, Dee. They were married on June 16, 1989 at her daughter's, Charla and Prescott Davis, house at Nuyaka. His hobbies over the years included hunting, fishing, golfing, antiquing, flea markets and garage sales, but his favorite past time was his great grandchildren, Maralyssa, Maelonna, and Casey. They kept him young at heart. Carl was very well known for the jokes he played on people or was it being just plain onery? Carl is survived by one daughter Robyn and husband Tim Ryan of Hominy, Ok.; two sons, Carl Clay of Phoenix, AZ., and Craig and wife Pam and their children Brittany, Zack, Levi, and Lacey Robison of Wahiawa, Hawaii; one step-daughter Charla (Chuck) and husband Prescott Davis of Nuyaka and their children Udonna and husband Chris Edmonds and Anthony Davis also of Nuyaka, Ok. He was preceded in death by his father Carl, mother Bessie, brother Walter and sister Virginia. Services will be held Wednesday, Feb 25, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church with Brother Raymond Doke officiating. Music will be provided by Lois Kolakowski. Graveside services will be at Okfuskee Cemetery with military honors. Casketbearers will be Anthony Davis, Chris Edmonds, Danny Stanfield, David Blitz, David Boss, and James Walker. Honorary Casketbearers are Tim Ryan, Keith Baldridge, Johnny Baldridge, Jason Boss, Larry Griffin, and Junior Baldridge. Arrangements are with the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
