Cleo Walton Gordon, 86, of Roanoke, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 20, 2009. She really enjoyed cooking and loved people. Cleo was preceded in death by her first husband, David H. Walton; her second husband, Gene Gordon; and three children. She is survived by her children, Earl Walton, Nellie Davis, Frances Wimmer, Patsy Walker, Etta Bell Lundy, Darrell Walton, Betty Akers, Connie Walton and Ronnie Lee Walton; numerous grandchildren; greatgrandchildren; and great-greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel with Pastor Brian Gordon officiating. The interment will follow in East Hill Cemetery in Salem. The family will be receiving friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
