Brent D. Murphy, 54, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2003 in Granger, Wyo.
Brent was born Nov 11, 1948 in Montpelier, Idaho, to DeVerle and Goldie Gaydon Murphy.
He married Debra Ann Lewis on August 17, 1979, in Montpelier, Idaho. They have two children.
Brent worked as a ranch hand in Dingle Idaho. They later moved to Granger, where he worked for the Wyoming Highway Dept. and the town of Granger.
He was an avid outdoors-man, enjoying camping, hunting and fishing. Brent was a hunting guide and he was the town sheriff for Granger.
Brent is survived by his wife Debra and two sons, Jason and Tyrel of Granger, one son Neal Murphy from a previous marriage, four grandchildren, Mike Murphy, Leesa, Mitch and Rayann Barrera of Las Vegas, Nev., three brothers, Brad (Bonnie) Murphy, Dave (Annette) Murphy and Kelly (Kathy) Murphy, two sisters, Dorothy (Elvin) Rippetoe and Vicki (John) Brannen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 21 at 2 p.m. in the Matthews Mortuary Chapel. Burial took place in the Thayne Cemetery.
