Lucinda first married Wilson C. N. Creed (burial unknown) on Jan. 8, 1816. They had two daughters, Margie and Mary, and one son, William S. Creed (burial unknown), who married Tabitha Gale Taylor in 1840 - he was 16 and she was 18.

William S. and Tabitha had 3 sons who were killed during the Civil War. The 1870 census shows William and Tabitha living together in July of that year, but at some point, William left her for a younger woman, Nancy Wright. In 1880, Tabitha Creed was living with her brother-in-law, Thomas Jeremiah Jarnagin, who had married her sister Mary Catherine "Katie". Tabitha states for the census that she is married, i.e. not widowed.

Author's note: As of Sept. 2017, the Ancestry.com record for Tabitha Creed in the 1880 census incorrectly shows the head-of-household as Lucinda McNeice instead of Thomas Jarnagin.

The 1880 census also shows William S. and Nancy Creed living in Caldwell County, Texas, and they had at least 4 children: William C. (born March of 1871), Loretta, Sarah "Sally", and Thomas C. "Tom". These are, of course, Lucinda's grandchildren. (Please contact the current owner of this memorial with any information about these descendants and their families.)

Lucinda married her second husband, Thomas Cocke, on Sept. 25, 1847. She was buried beside of Thomas in the Cocke Family Cemetery, and their graves were relocated to the Livingston Cemetery in 1941 by TVA.

There is a marriage record in Hawkins County for Lucinda Cocke marrying Lewis Howry on January 10, 1870.
