Ernest Williams Dies At Galveston Hospital

Funeral services for Ernest Williams, age 40, were held last Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Sandy Creek church with Rev. J. W. Askew, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating. Burial was made in a cemetery nearby.
Mr. Williams had been in ill health for the past few years and a year ago underwent an operation from which he had never fully recovered. He passed away in John Sealy hospital in Galveston on Tuesday where he had submitted to an operation earlier in that day.
Mr. Williams was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. (Bud) Williams of the Sandy Creek community. Besides his wife and small daughter, Bettye Jo, the following brothers and sisters survive: Sam Williams of Fort Worth; Will, Howard, Cecil of Rockdale, and Grady Williams of Hawaii; four sisters, Mrs. Estell Lewis of Abilene, Mrs. Ralph Litchenstein of Fort Worth; Miss Rachel Williams and Mrs. W. O. Stetson of California.
