Carl D. Adams, 89, of Rittman died Sunday, February 22, 2009 at his residence.
He was born May 2, 1919 in Doylestown to George and Sevilla (Dean) Adams and lived in Rittman since 1941. He was employed at the Packaging Corporation of America in Rittman for 31 years until retiring in 1981.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Doylestown and formerly served on the Rittman Fire Department. Carl enjoyed bowling, golfing, and doing hooked rugs.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Aurand) Adams; daughters; grandchildren; great-grandchild.

Brothers, George, Raymond and Eugene Adams, and sisters, Ruth Widmer, Iva Morelli, and Elizabeth Adams all died previously.

Services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Dr., Rittman where friends may call one hour before services. Rev. Timothy L. Zoruba will officiate. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery.
