He was a volunteer fireman for many years at the Union Hose Fire Company in Union Beach, New Jersey where he lived and worked, and raised his family.
He worked for the Union Beach Borough, Street Department until ill health forced him to retire.
The main thing that sticks with us about him was his love of his cowboy hat. You never saw him without it lol.
