William H. (Bill) Bullock, 89, died Friday at Sunrise Manor Convalescent Home following an illness of three weeks. He was born at Public, Ky., on Feb. 7, 1884, the son of Milford and Nancy Harris Bullock, both deceased. He married the former Nevada Sowderes on Oct 19, 1905, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 4, 1948. Surviving children from their marriage include two sons, Auda Bullock of Conrard and Chester Bullock of Mt. Victory; and four daughters, Amy Head of Plato, Ky., Hulda Purcell of Elrod, Ky., Geneva Taylor of Goodwater, Ky. and Virginia Whitaker of Greenwood, Ind. He later married Gertrude Bailey of Somerset on Dec. 23, 1955 and she survives. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was a retired farmer, merchant and postmaster at Conrard and was a member of the Sinking Valley Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Sunday at Sinking Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Jess Hail and Rev. Howard Mounce officiating. Burial was in the Conrard Cemetery. Morris and Hislope Funeral home was in charge of arrangements
