C. W. Davis, 85, lifelong resident of Bland county, died at his home in Long Spur yesterday after a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Vicie Davis; seven daughters, Mrs. R. K. Brunk, of Wytheville: Mrs. A. W. Brunk, of Athens, W. V.; Mrs. C. W. Lelfer, of Draper; Mrs. H. N. Brunk, of Long Spur; Mrs. W. W. Collins, of Pulaski, and Vergie and Mildred Davis of Long Spur; four sons, , A. W. Davis, of Pearisburg, Arthur Davis, of Pulaski, Allen Davis, of Wytheville, and Marvin Davis, of Long Spur; and one brother, R. L. Davis, of Long Spur.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p. m. from the home, with burial in the family cemetery.
