Livingston Perry Edwards is the son of George Washington Edwards and Charlotte Temple Bobo.

He married Martha M. Cook on 12 Oct 1865 in Monroe County, Mississippi, and there were no children from this marriage; and then he married Susan M. Dilworth on 3 Nov 1869 and five children resulted from this union: Jeffie Minerva Edwards, George Winston Edwards, Mary Charlotte "Molly" Edwards, Enoch Edwards, and Martha Jane Edwards.

He fought for the Confederacy for 4 years and he was wounded on 20 Sep 1863 at the Battle of Chicamauga.

According to the U.S. Headstone Applications for Military Veterans, 1925-1963, filed by his daughter, Mary Charlotte "Mollie" [Edwards] Tubb, he died on 30 Oct 1912.
