Dilworth on 3 Nov 1869 and five children resulted from this union: Jeffie Minerva Edwards, George Winston Edwards, Mary Charlotte "Molly" Edwards, Enoch Edwards, and Martha Jane Edwards.
He fought for the Confederacy for 4 years and he was wounded on 20 Sep 1863 at the Battle of Chicamauga.
According to the U.S. Headstone Applications for Military Veterans, 1925-1963, filed by his daughter, Mary Charlotte "Mollie" [Edwards] Tubb, he died on 30 Oct 1912.
