Funeral services for Feme L. Engdahl of Hooper will be held Fri., Feb. 26, 1999 at 2 p.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper. She died February 22 at the Fremont Area Medical Center at the age of 82 years.

The Rev. Greg Berger will offiidate at the service. Burial will be in the Hooper Cemetery. Warne-Johnson Funeral Home in Hooper is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Thursday, 2-9 p.m. at the funeral home in Hooper.

She was born Aug. 5, 1916 in Winslow to Edward J. Fauss and Caroline (Schroeder) Fauss. She graduated from Uehling High School in 1933. She worked at Lammers Cafe in Hooper, Schwesers Department Store in Fremont and many years at Mines Drug Store in Hooper.

She married Dennis G. Engdahl Sept. 1935 in Fremont.

She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper, of the VFW Auxiliary for many years and was active in organizing and establishing the over 60 center in Hooper.

She was baptized and connfirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in rural Hooper. After her marriage, she and her husband lived on a farm near Oakland and then moved to Hooper.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan and husband, Jim Gray of Sun City, CA; two sons, Larry and wife Mary Engdahl of Waterford, MI, Jerry of Millard; one sister, Clare and husband, Eugene Dierking of Hooper; one brother, Edward and wife Lucille Fauss of Oklahoma City, OK; seven granddchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dennis in 1988; two brothers, Clarence and Earl E. Fauss; two sisters, Violet Hamrich and Esther Koehler.

Ferne L. Engdahl, 82, of Hooper passed away Monday, February 22, 1999, at the Freemont Area Medical Center in Fremont.

Ferne was born August 5, 1916; in Winslow to Edward J. and Caroline (Scbroeder) Fauss.

She was baptized and confumed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in rural Hooper. She graduated from Uehling High School in 1933.

In September of 1935 she marrried Dennis G. Engdahl of Fremont. After her marriage she and her husband lived on a farm near Oakland and then moved to Hooper. Dennis died January 5, 1988.

Ferne worked at Lammers Cafe in Hooper, Schwesers Department Store in Fremont and many years at Mines Drug Store in Hooper.
