Richard Paul Abbott, 82, of Diamondhead, died Friday, May 7, 1999, in Diamondhead.
Mr. Abbott was a native of Dudley, Pa., and had been a resident of Diamondhead for the past 24 years. He was a member of Diamondhead Baptist Church. He retired as a civil engineer, American Dredging Co., New Orleans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Bruce and Flora Bell Sweet Abbott; his wife, Mildred Cafiero Abbott; a son, Richard Kent Abbott and a brother, Daniel Abbott.
Survivors include a son, David Paul Abbott of Trinidad, Texas; four sisters, Martha Abbott and Ruth Howells, both of Dudley, Sally Coulter of Hershey, Pa., and Mary Moyle of Mebane, N. C.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted at a later date. Interment will be in Gulf Coasts Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bay St. Louis.
Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.
