Mrs. DeVries was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kloeckner, who formerly farmed near Adams but now live in Austin.
She attended high school at both Elkton and Adams, graduating at Adams. For about a year following their marriage in 1946, she and her husband operated the C and M Cafe on Main Street, now known as Lucy's.
Since 1947, both she and her husband have been employed by Geo. A. Hormel & Co. Mrs. DeVries worked in the consumer pack department.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. DeVries is survived by a brother, Clarence, in Los Angeles, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Arnie Olson and Mrs. Arthur Smith, of Adams.
