Erbar was born in Ulysses, Neb. He came to Canadian County in 1893, and had lived in El Reno since 1941. A retired farmer, he was active in the IOOF and the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Oklahoma Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha; a daughter, Mrs. John T. Boaz, Oklahoma City, and a son, John H. Erbar, Stillwater; a sister, Mrs. Churchill Zimmerman, Brownsville, Texas, and two brothers, Hubert and Fred, both of El Reno.
