Mrs. Hare was born on November 24, 1911 in Newberry, a daughter of the late Jacob Lawson and Bessie Nesley Boozer. She was a retired school teacher, having taught in Saluda, Newberry, and Abbeville counties for over 49 years. She attended Main Street United Methodist Church in Abbeville.
Mrs. Hare is survived by one sister, Bessie Boozer Sims of Rock Hill; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Boozer Ballentine and Sarah Elizabeth Boozer and a brother, Harry Eugene Boozer.
Graveside services will be conducted at 4:00 P. M. Sunday at the Rosemont Cemetery in Newberry.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 3:30 P. M. Sunday at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry.
