Brazil-Anna H Modesitt, 83, of Brazil died at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, Sept 22, 1998 in Clay County Hospital's intensive care unit. She was born Jan. 17, 1915, in Clay County to Austin Courntey and Mazo Biller Courntey. Her husband, Harry E. Modesitt, died Sept. 13, 1990. Survivors include one son, Thomas W Modesitt; one sister, Lois Grey; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several other relatives. Services are 11 a.m. Friday in Lawson-Slack Funeral Home Brazil Chapel, with Brother Otis Lorton officiating. Burial is in Calcutta Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and before services Friday.
