Glenn Teigland, 82, died on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at his home in Grygla, MN.

Funeral Service will be10:30 AM, Thursday December 2, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church, Grygla, MN, with Pastor Clark Hjelle officiating. Burial will be in Valle Cemetery, Grygla, MN.

Visitation will be 4 - 8 PM, Wednesday, December 1, 2010 in Thief River Falls, MN with a 7 PM prayer service and also for one hour prior to the service at the church, Thursday.

Glenn Burnett Teigland was born August 20, 1928 in Waukegan, IL, the son of James Christopher and Signe Marie (Hylland) Teigland. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith, he received Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1949, and attended Benville Country School. Glenn served in the United States Army.

Glenn met Donna Joan Zielke in Nebraska and on December 14, 1952 they were united in marriage in Sidney, Nebraska. The couple lived in Sidney for awhile and then moved to Minneapolis where Glenn attended Dunwoody Industrial Institute to become a machinist. Donna and Glenn moved to Waukegan, IL and lived there for 26 years. Glenn worked at Johnson Outboard Motors, before moving to Fort Worth, TX in 1982 where he worked as a machinist. In 1992 Glenn retired and they moved to Grygla, MN.

Glenn was also a carpenter and enjoyed handy work. He enjoyed attending the Community Bible Church.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Donna of Grygla, MN; four children, Jenell (Keith) Jacks of Pittsburg, PA, Marilyn Ryman of Colorado Springs, CO, Garry (Margie) Teigland of Georgetown, IN and Ronald (Lisa) Teigland of Grayslake, IL; grandchildren, Chuck Jacks, Andy (Kristine) Jacks, Steven Jacks, Patricia (Bryan) Stammer, Caleb (Kirith) Ryman, Katy (Nathan) Stavig, Jo Beth Ryman, Logan Ryman, Benjamin (Abby) Teigland, Rebekah (Peter) Riefstahl and Brita Teigland; five great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Marion (Clayton) Ostby of Minneapolis, MN, Doris Smeby of Grygla, MN, Carl Gene Teigland of Oklee, MN, Mavis (Robert) Smeby of Grygla, MN, Gloria (Richard) Ness of Viking, MN, Carol (Andy) Wells of Bemidji, MN, and Sheldon (Lucy) Teigland of Barrow, Alaska; sister-in-law, Carole of Waukgen, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wallace; sister, Joyce; brother-in-law, John Smeby; and sister-in-law, Nancy Teigland.
