Elizabeth Greenleaf Abel, 95, of Downingtown, passed away on Dec. 26, 2013. Born on May 6, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Harry and May (nee Platt) Greenleaf.
She is survived by her children, Susan Abel of Dexter, Maine, and Marie Armstrong of New Lebanon, N.Y.; grandchildren, William Davies, of Stephentown, N.Y., Kelly Gardner, of New Lebanon, N.Y., Kim Styer, of New Lebanon, N.Y., and Joseph Styer, of Stephentown, N.Y.; seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Charles Forrest Abel and daughter, Jean Abel. Libby enjoyed a full life of family, friends, and pets. She traveled all over the world. She loved to play cards, especially pinochle. She had worked as a receptionist and PBX operator at Downingtown Paperbox, a librarian at Roy F. Weston, Environmental Engineers, West Chester, and a librarian at the Darrow School, New Lebanon, N.Y. Relatives and friends are invited to Elizabeth's Life Celebration from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Ralston & Bredickas of Downingtown, 107 W.
